I have fairly fine hair, but it's quite long. I'm thinking of getting some GHD hair straighteners, and just wondering which would be best for my hair type. The salon ones just look better quality from the pics, and as they're apparently the ones used in salons I'm thinking those would be better...
Just looking for opinions from those who've had experience using these straighteners...
Do not just post from a link or copy a paragraph from some site selling them...
GHD hair straighteners... which are better, the salon ones or regular?
flat irons from salons usually come with a guarantee and are much better qualitythan the store bought ones that are only coated with ceramic where as professional irons are made with ceramic plates and heat evenly. i am a cosmetologist and i have very thin fine curly hair, i have found the the chi straighters work the best for me. chi silk infusion and thermal protectant is good to use with it. i would buy from a salon and not off the internet though.

the slim ones are good, but the ones that are wider but thin are better. like i mean theyre slim but wide, and the chubby and skinny ones are easier for the plastic to get all nasty(like a slim chi), cuz the other ones are smoother and if something bad happens only the plates will slide off, not the whole thing...

buy the kind that is called wet 2 straight because you can straighten it even when it is wet

They work really well just like the Chi ones.Oh,the salon ones are way better. They're used in nice salons so you know they must be good.

if i were you i'd go to the place u get ur haircuts and ask them what type of straightner is best for ur hair. remember if u straighten ur hair TOO much it will be REALLY REALLY BAD. do not straighten it too much and try too protect it as much as possible or u'll regret it. CHI is a really good company and so is VIDAL SASSON or something like that. the best thing would be to ask a professional.
