I wouldn't recommend one of those straigtners. If you starighten your hair when it's wet it can burn the hair. I would try a regular flat iron instead. One of my favorites is by Revlon. Big plates and high heat settings. It works great

i have thick wavy hair and the wet to straight one i have doesn't fry my hair i got it at walmart for $20 and in case it does start to fry i would just worry about what conditioner i use

i use herbal essences hello hydration and it helps my hair has never fried since i GOT the straightener

oh and it is just called WET TO STRAIGHT and it works and my hair comes out really shiny too

also my hair is so thick that i can only put one loop around it when i tie it up

The Wet 2 Straight is by Remmington...it is awesome!!! Use a leave in conditioner or a serum like Frizz eaz before straightening and you hair will be straight soft and shiny.

I love mine!!!

All straighteners damage your hair to some extent. The wet to dry ones are more likely to damage your hair more. I would suggest only straightening your hair when its wet once in awhile. Straightening when its wet also takes longer then when its dry. My is is thick, long, and wavy and I know from experience that it takes longer. If you go to a salon ask what they suggest as a good straightener.
