How do I repair/remove a burn mark left by a hair straightener on a bathroom counter top?

It depends on what the counter top is made

of and how deep the burn went.

It it's enamel or ceramic you can rub it GENTLY

with cleanser that contains bleach (like Comet)

and see if it lightened or was removed sufficiently.

If its laminate/plastic you can sort of "hide" it by

glueing on a small piece of decorative tile that is

sold in craft stores and make it look like it was

purposefully done as a decorative touch.

I once burned my kitchen counter with a hot pan

and just bought 4 small squares of ceramic tile

with a flower design and caulked them together

to form a "hot plate holder". lol

Everyone loved it, and it looked like it was

built in just for that purpose!

Or, as a last resort, you will have to

replace the whole countertop if the damage

cannot be fixed in any way.

Good luck!

You would probably have to replace the counter top because the burn has ruined the surface.

If it is a very light surface burn you may be able to remove the stain using a paste made from powdered dishwasher or laundry soap. Use a damp sponge to rub the paste on the stain in a circular motion.

i would try some really light sand paper and try sanding it before replaceing it. get some 220 grit sand paper.
